My Favorite Video

I liked the first one about Japan the most because of the way the audio and the visual aspects gave off an intense mood. It created the sense of urgency and gave off a feeling of what the tragedy's true effect had on people. The symbolism with Japan's flag in the first scene breaking apart and with the Red Cross symbol coming together in my opinion told a good story of what the agency is trying to do.

Capstone Project Statement of Intent

a) The goal of my capstone project concern the vulnerability to Schizophrenia that is caused by stress at a young age.

b) It is important because everyone has an increased risk if the proper precautions are not taken to prevent this vulnerability.

c) I plan on majoring in Neurology and Genetics. Since Schizophrenia is believed to be entirely due to Genetics, I find this capstone project appropriate.

d) My project gives back to society by implementing knowledge about Schizophrenia and how to prevent the many causes of the disease.

e) The Triple Bottom Line refers to Sustainable Community Building slogan and the KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) it is built upon.

Upon viewing this great work of art, the very first thing that caught my glance was the background. The background is very artistic which is supposed to represent the 1920s. The picture is eye catching as well. The red border gives a color scheme relevant with the color of the font (matching the "RCHS" red) as well. The quote reflects the RCHS theme of working hard and excelling in life on the road to success. Overall great work, and I would definitely vote for it to be the RCHS yearbook cover.

Bad-
First of all, the red around the picture takes the attention away from the picture. It's way too overpowering. I don't like the color scheme. The background with white and red, no, there's a huge color clash.
I think you need to add more, it feels a bit empty. The font is just average, try to find something a bit different, or at least add italics to make it look more fancy.

Why I chose this historical Photo

I chose this photo because of the time era and the significance it had on shaping our culture and how young people today think because of it.
During the Vietnam War, protests on universities and public grounds broke out stating that the war is wrong. The consequences were usually severe in these protests, yet they continued to speak their mind.

The biggest challenge I had was recreating myself in a position where it would fit well into the picture.

In my own opinion, it was successful except for the fact that I had my left hand in my pocket and I am a little too close to the women behind me.

I am drawn to the 1960's vintage era.

The statement is that you cannot use anything you didn't make yourself.
This is true for out of school purposes and contests (unless you are using music that allow these privileges). However, for an academic reason/assignment, the law is not as strict. As long as credit is given it is fine.

Capstone Topic & Innovation, Idea, or Invention

My capstone topic is going to cover the correlations between stress in children (12 and under) and Schizophrenia. Recent studies have shown that these kids are significantly more prone to Schizophrenia. My idea is to make an organization as well as an interactive website that contains information about the disease as well as statistics that cover a global range.
